The Potlatch Scholarship Program

We are growing more for the future than just trees. Since 1952, the Potlatch Foundation for Higher Education (PFHE) has helped more than 3,000 students from Potlatch mill communities pursue a college education. To date, we have awarded more than $10 million in scholarships.

The Potlatch Foundation for Higher Education offers undergraduate scholarships to:

• seniors in high school whose permanent address or high school address is within 30 miles of certain Potlatch facilities; or
• undergraduate students currently attending an accredited institution of higher education, and whose permanent residence is within 30 miles of certain Potlatch facilities; or
• children of current Potlatch employees

The Foundation does not offer scholarships to graduate students.

Application period

Applications are available from October 1 through January 31. Requests for applications will only be honored during this time. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on February 10 of the academic year in which the scholarship is to be used.
