Potlatch

Our Minnesota Timberlands

The primary species we grow in the state are aspen and red pine. Set amidst Minnesota's beautiful and popular lake country, our 225,000 acres of forests offer abundant recreational value.

Our lands provide a high percentage of the logs used in our Bemidji Lumber mill. Logs and fiber from Potlatch lands are also sold to many other lumber, panel, and paper manufacturers in the region.

Our core timber-producing holdings in Minnesota are 100 percent certified under the rigorous social, economic, and environmental standards of the Forest Stewardship Council. We own about 12,000 acres in Minnesota that are not certified because they have been designated for sale.

We manage our Minnesota timberlands for long-term sustainability and continually assess how we can minimize any adverse affect on air, water, soil, and wildlife. Find information about our stewardship initiatives in Minnesota here.
